I’d like to share this moment at Princeton Center for Yoga and Health...
As the sunlight streams through the many skylights as well as the windows surrounding the room, I am not only renewing my mind and body but basking in the gift of the pure sunlight of this day.
I must admit that I do have a soft spot for PCYH for I had taught there for seven years but it was at a different location. This new center is a dream-come-true, from capturing all of this light, to the herb teas we share afterwards, to the secluded meditation room open for anyone to meditate…even that room is filled with sunlight.
This is my favorite yoga studio, by far. The teachers all have their own flare. Classes range from traditional Hatha Yoga with various teachers to $5.00 noon classes with Dan Horowitz on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You can’t go wrong! I like to call Dan’s class Pilates/Yoga. It’s a rigorous hour and Dan can do any yoga posture under the sun (if you can excuse my pun). Additionally, there is a uniquely insightful class taught by Rama, an 80 year old yoga master. When he’s not in India, he’s guiding others in his morning yoga and meditation classes.
As I arrive at Princeton Center for Yoga and Health this morning for an Aerial/Swing Yoga class taught by Deepa Rau my heart knows it has found its home. Today we conclude with, “Aum shanti, shanti, shanti… peace, peace, peace.” May all beings everywhere know happiness and peace and at PCYH for this moment, I have found mine.
