There is endless peace written across the skies of blue 

and intense love 

in each magnificent sunrise and sunset

Thank g-d for my ability to look up

The stars, the moon, the sun,

The blue skies the gray skies, the mossy skies

Thank you for it all and it is good so good

Abundance

                                 When there is an abundance of beauty it's difficult to stand out 

Into Spring

Spring...when every leaf becomes a flower

I come to you preparing my bouquet

The birds are singing chosen melodies of summers past

And yes, love is in the air

I sit upon your throne of mighty tree trunks and branches

knowing you love me and I you

The absolute connection to a greater good

Giggling Sun

Today the wind, she speaks to me 

I hear her whispers on this September morn 

The waters they flow and laugh  

The sun giggles as it reflects diamonds, a gift from the light above, upon my open waters

Oh, what a magnificent day is born! And the only thing I can say is

Inner Spirit*

                                                   

There is a division between pain and moods

They may be sisters but mayn’t always join hands

Oh meditation I honor you

Together you remind me of my inner spirit and how loved I am 

You bring a song my heart  

Joy and peace to my soul 

Oh how the grass turns green even though there may be turmoil 

Oh how the cold white snow glistens in the morn light 

Oh fierce winds you have pruned my tree with a natural beauty 

But today the lights shine over this tree 
and the sunshines even brighter through you then before

I smile yet I still cast a shadow

I am beautiful through and through  

You speak to me in each step I take

I am here

I exist

I may sink deep at times but rise up tomorrow 

I may feel low but today there is no denying the sky  

The same heavy snow which breaks the branch 

brings it beauty

A New Chapter*

 Everything in our life which has brought us to where we are today, we should be thankful for it all--- the good and the bad. It is what has defined us and we are surviving and at times thriving from all of the strengths which have gotten us this far. 

It is the challenges that help mold, define and strengthen us. Even though we may feel weak, we survive it with the skills we have created and developed. We have survived them all. That is monumental.  

Lessons

 

In the wake of my father's passing on February 23, 2023 and severe back pain.

I have learned quickly that pain is a powerful teacher.

Don't take anything or anyone for granted.

Our bodies have a very strong voice. 

Grief has a mind of its own.

Happiness

 Happiness is infectious.

Gifts

By your grace, I am granted the gift of five senses. 

Opening my eyes to the light of a brand new day. I can now smell the flowers around me and in the distant garden... roses, lillies of the valley, and irises.

Thank you for sharing  this joy

I am awoken by the intoxicating aroma of the blossoms and flowers surrounding me.

And for this I give thanks.

Gift of the New Year

We live with God's gifts every moment

Every heartbeat 

Every breath

Every sunrise

Every moon set

And it is good

Fallen Tree

 And then you came down

You my greatest, grandest, strongest tree. You my redwood, my sky, my rock

Oh what does one do when our branches are so low that they swim deep within the waters

Oh what does one do when nobody can lift you up

It is time for the animals to make new homes in my fallen branches

There are blue skies today and they are magnificent. I feel your sun kiss my cheek and comfort me

I may ask why but I hear no answers only questions

My trunk is still firm but my branches just don't know where to go. I only know they will always follow the sun

Love joan

i entered the seat of the soul of joan

how joan's spirit was born 

what and who joan really is

the trunk of joan's tree 

lush tropical pomegranate and fig trees 

surrounded by eucalyptus 

all the beauty and abundence ever known or experienced 

plus more

heavenly music echoing songs of peace, love and joy

the waters of joan 

still and pure  

replenishing and soothing

Awakening*

 

Before I meditate a stone is just a stone 

cold yet at times catch and reflect the sun's vivid rays

After meditation 

I open my eyes and

now surrounded by a special calmness

 

The air is soft like cotton balls 

The stone not only catches and reflects light 

but twinkles with awe conveying a quite joy 

making me smile with a heartfelt warmth 

Before I meditated all was winter 

yet afterwards in that moment spring is awakening

World of Colors*

 

I think I understand it now 

I was on another plane 

It was one deeper than normal, where colors with no special meaning stand for things 

Red and black were protection  

Pink was love 

Blue for belief 

Purple for royalty 

Green for all growing things and peace as well as the opposite--sickness and envy,a very complex color 

Yellow and orange for intensity

Brown for the earth, the soil, the toil

The world of the colors

But I only desire to be part of the plane of substance and reality 

Grounded
