My Calm

I lie on the warm, still waters of my calm

While embraced in the aroma of the roses and honeysuckles, I am serenaded by the chirping and cooing of wild birds in the distance

Reflection of the sunrays and trees in full bloom rest upon the waters as

I feel this summer sun kiss me upon my lips

I smile

My mind, body and soul are at one with nature as we share each other’s calm

At times, while flying in an airplane it must just climb a little higher out of the clouds to reach the blue skies that grace my meditations. I know in my heart that above all the grey clouds this morn is an endless, beautiful blue with a sun which will always shine upon me. I may not see its rays at this moment but they are there.
