Oh blinding sun 

today I go to you

Oh love so fine 

so strong 

I stand before you unable to stop the rays from the passing light 

Oh tears upon my face and heaviness within my chest 

oh love  

oh light 

I must turn my back from you

The bird's song has gone and I stand before my love 

my light is stranded 

Oh plate before me 

Why must each day start empty 

each day  

each and everyday 

Oh the energy I must put forth to set my silverware around your plate 

My cup does not runneth over 

but stands 

empty

This morning I must find the water 

and use 

the utmost of 

energy to fill you  

Now is the time to find our spring waters

After this morning's meditation...

Oh love 

You cradle me and whisper sweet nothings 

Oh they are not nothings

They replace my sadness 

with your calm

Winding Path

Oh, winding path through the woods 

I follow you 

and 

forge through  

I am joined by my fallen trees and annoying insects 

Boy are they annoying

After eighteen years of visiting you

I have finally learned to dress properly 

Long pants  

high socks and sneakers

Despite the 

mosquitoes 

ticks 

and poison ivy 

I may now wander

and celebrate
