Went to Live Earth yesterday. It was fantastic! Jane Goodall opened with the sound of  a chimp's call in the wild for help.Even though she is highly concerned about Global Warming, she also believes in the human spirit and the capacity of the human mind to overcome it with keen ideas and actions.

As Pink Floyd, Sting, Melissa Etheridge, and John Mayer sang of their concerns, my sister Rachel and I held a banner which read, “We need the Earth and now is the time the Earth needs us.”

There is so much love around

 a beautiful, crystalline snowflake upon my tongue

a crocus in full bloom 

even a blade of grass beneath my feet
