Mother*

Today I think of you

and feel you thinking of me 

Even though you have passed many years ago 

I still see you... 

in the deep hues of the lush springtime grass 

and feel you in each golden ray of the sun

and hear your laughter in each joyful croak of the frogs 

around my meditation pond

And for this is smile

I feel comfort in 

sharing my joys 

as well as my sorrows 

And for this I give thanks

Cultivation*

This is the time to cultivate our trees and seek true happiness  

There is a deeper sense of comfort and joy

being 

amongst a forest of trees 

then standing as the lone 
one
