Meditation
Open the door.
There is a stone path under my feet.
I do not hear it as I step but know it is there. My eyes are still closed.
I smell the rushing waters and pine trees.
I feel a mist on my skin and gently open my eyes. I have a woolen Indian blanket draped over my shoulders.
I follow the path to the waterfalls.
I open the blanket and lie on it with one hand in the natural pool beneath the falls.
I feel a ray of sun warming me.
I scoop up a handful of water and let it drop into my mouth…not even touching my lips--right on to my tongue. Invigorating… I swallow… rejuvenating.
I roll into the waters and float.
I feel peaceful. Breathe.
I feel loved… as well as a love for others.
My eyes are shut but I feel myself smiling.
I float and return to my spot.
I pick up a small turquoise stone put it into in my pocket as a reminder of this moment.
I give thanks from my hip to my heart to my head to my highest power and back.
While going back to my meditation door, I think of that loving, peaceful moment… knowing I now have not left it behind. It will always be with me.
