At times I stand at the line between hope and despair… choose hope

At times I stand at the line between self-love and self-loathing...choose self-love

My anxious mind may be stuck like honey upon my fingertips today... May I remember that I have to ability to walk to the stream, bend down, rinse my hands free

For this moment I choose to open my eyes and let myself feel the chilling wind by the waterside as well as the warmth of the sun above me

I choose to try to stay healthy, and as I take my next breath I can feel you rocking me in your arms

Silence

 

I look to my body for when something is healthy it is silent. For when something is struggling it calls out and I can feel its pain. I feel my pain. But when I acknowledge this moment and am still, I am grateful for all that is healthy and all which is silent.
