Heavy Snow*

There is a division between pain and moods
They may be sisters but mayn’t always join hands

Oh meditation I honor you
Together you remind me of my inner spirit and how loved I am

You bring a song my heart
Joy and peace to my soul

Oh how the grass turns green even though there may be turmoil
Oh how the cold white snow glistens in the morn light
Oh fierce winds you have pruned my tree with a natural beauty
But today the lights shine over this tree
and the sunshines even brighter through you then before

I smile yet I still cast a shadow
I am beautiful through and through

You speak to me in each step I take
I am here
I exist

I may sink deep at times but rise up tomorrow
I may feel low but today there is no denying the sky

The same heavy snow which breaks the branch
brings it beauty

Still Waters

Oh how beautiful you shine upon me
reflecting my happiness as well as my pain

You raise me up
so I may see my joyous spirit
For this moment I am eternally grateful

Your reflection on my still waters
awaken me
yet I must also squint at your intense lights

Your florescent rays
radiate within me

Today do I chose to reflect you
and let you seep in

Meditating Indoors

Meditating Indoors
Basic Elements of the Meditation Table

  1. Candle
  2. Plant, flower or plant cutting in water
  3. Objects from a special place (rock, seashell, twig, etc.) I like to write the date and/or local on them.
  4. Special Picture that represents love, peace or joy

Objective:   The candle’s flame provides an ideal point to focus on.  The plant or cutting brings nature indoors which helps enhance our connection to nature and our higher powers.  The special objects and picture keeps our focus in a positive direction.
