Little Trees

For when the big tree falls

So does it make way for the little ones. 

This redwood's canopy 

was always blocking their light

Embrace All

To my grand nieces and nephews, little trees

I give thanks

You give me more to love

It’s not how often I see them

It’s just that they be

What Will I Do

This morning at my treasured mediation spot by the illuminating spring waters adjacent to the woods 

I hear an unnatural sound 

I feel the mosquito biting me

Will I stop going here 

Will I use bug spray 

Will I investigate the sound

Not until I have to 

Not until I get so bitten up that I must take action

Not until I actually see something threatening 

Will I then move away from this spot 

Not until order becomes chaos 

What will I do

I have written weekly in this meditation blog for many years and now I feel that I have missed many.

May g-d came down 

to me 

and kick me 

in the ass.
